The book “Volya from Nizhny Novyurod to Astrakhan”, which is now presented to the reader, is a voluminous literary study, the main idea of which is to provide in one single essay a consistent acquaintance with the coasts of “Volya on the other and the most important length of the great Russian river, and, moreover, acquaintance with the broadest possible meaning of this Our words from here are not a simple guide to Volozhsk, but they are extensive: in it the reader will find historical descriptions concerning the entire regions of the Volga region and its individual areas, and ethnotraffic essays, and vengeful legends and betrayals, and the history of corruption and industrial development. region, and essays on the development of the Volga Shipping Company, the Nizhny Yurod Fair, etc. The first chapter, which gives a general acquaintance with Volla and its history, is followed by a series of chapters in which the reader will find enough information for a detailed and comprehensive acquaintance not only with such important centers of the Volga region as Nizhny, Samara, Saratov. and Astrakhan, but also in general 0 with all the many people who have settled, which have at least some significance in the history of the region, in the layer of the past and the present; Its details are parallel to the literary side of the story. Thus, we have the opportunity to become doubly familiar with the vast and vibrant region, which has long since become of interest not only to our compatriots, but also to foreigners, who can often be found traveling along the Woll and diligently studying the history of its coasts and the present-day birch villages. Our kyma can serve as an excellent support for a pirist, who was heading along the Volga, since it not only covers the entire Volga coast, but also provides an opportunity for detailed and comprehensive acquaintance with them. In the darkness, it can serve as a reading room for a person who has not been to Volya and wants to get acquainted with it, for information and checking his memories in the event that a person happened to spend a few days on some Volga steamship; finally, because of the quality of the book, beautifully published and abundantly equipped with good illustrations, our publication is quite worthy of the title, along with other similar ones, to become a desktop book for a lover of good books illustrated editions. As for the illustrations of our “Will”, we used beautifully executed photographic transfers as materials for them. A. O. Karelina and M. Diiprmeva in 5 Nizhny, part Fedorova in Kazan, 1. A. P. Vasilyeva in Samar, 1. S. Vishnevskio and the wife of S. I. Klimashevskaya in Astrakhan; in addition, the photograph we hastily sent captured views of some of the scenes; pen drawings, paintings In the new edition, as well as all the main and final vignettes, we transferred them to the original, executed according to our order."
By handing over the science to the reading public, we will rise to the fair level of this present publication and in this way we will see the light of ourselves in the future. If our kippah would help to make a good acquaintance between the people and the great Russian army, with its past and present history, with this sign for our fatherland, then ours will survive.
