If we follow the historical course of the development of our military forces, we can come to the conclusion that not a single branch of the weapon has undergone such radical reforms and such frequent transformations as the Field Engineering Troops.

If we take a closer look at the composition of the Field Engineering Troops and their assignments, we will be convinced that none of the arms of our army includes such diverse specialties and branches of military art as the Field Engineering Troops.

1) An excerpt from the poem “Fisherman’s Mines,” written by a well-known person at that time rural poet, peasant of Rybatskaya Sloboda Fyodor Slpushkin, who witnessed the sapper work and labors of Emperor Nicholas | when he was appointed inspector general for engineering.

Currently, the special service of the Field Engineering Troops consists of the following:

2) Service in bivouacs: providing troops with camp, bivouac and various types of outbuildings.
